A fused pulling eye designed primarily for pulling of subduct mono bore 5 and other polyethylene ducting with an internal bore of between 20–22mm ID.

The carrot can be used in a conventional way with drawrope or used with the articulate Bailey Duct Rod adaptor (Type A Thread), whereby it can be used with No1 (S83-1446) and No 2 (S83-0711) Duct/Ferret Rods.

These ‘carrots’ have cutting edges which make a thread in the bore of the ducting, like using a tap to cut a thread in steel.

To ensure a reliable grip we recommend 7 or 8 full threads of contact using a 14mm spanner.

The carrot contains a 1.5KN replaceable fuse (S83-1861) to protect the duct during the pulling installation.
