Drop Mandrel Clamp 3-4mm
The FTTH drop clamp Mini is used for the dead-ending of 3 to 4mm aerial round drop cables with flexible insulation sheath where spans do not exceed 70m.
The Mini is made up of a mandrel shaped body around which the cable is wound and self-tightened. It includes a built-in cable tie to secure the drop cable and open bail to secure it directly on pole fittings.
It is made out of UV resistant thermoplastic for a guaranteed lifespan of a minimum 25 years. The Mini can be secured to many different types of closed or opened hardware (min Ø 10mm holes.

Installation
• Take the cable and locate the approximate span to be installed in the Mini clamp. Keep the bail of the clamp open.
• Place the tensioned line (span side) around the drum using the aperture located at the top of the clamp.
• Complete 2 ½ turns around the drum clamp and exit the cable using the aperture located at the bottom of the clamp.
• Position the Mini clamp on the pole fitting or wall / façade. Close and lock the clamp bail.
• Push the cable toward the bracket and pull the cable in the opposite direction to adjust the cable tension.
• Secure the cable on the Mini clamp by tightening the built-in cable tie.
Testing
This clamp has been qualified in accordance with internationally recognised standards :
• Climatic ageing test according to NF EN C-20-540standard dated June 2002.
• Mechanical test according to France Telecom FTR&D/7890 dated July 2003.
• Vibration test according to France Telecom FT R&D/7890dated July 2003 and NF EN 50289-3-13 dated August 2003
• Insertion loss < 0.2 dB
