Installation Instructions
Repairing Duct 56 (095086) Mills P/N S83-4620
Remove the damaged section and trim both ends of the remaining duct.Measure the length to be replaced and add 300 mm
Cut a length of Duct 56 split to correspond with the above measurement.
Using S83-0896 Straps Cable Fixing 10A clamp the Duct 56 split over the exposed ends of the duct under repair allowing 150 mm overlap at each end.
Clamp the Duct 56 split along its length using Straps Cable Fixing 10A at intervals of approximately 150 mm. Tighten the straps using S83-0947 Tensioner 8A (Item Code 127234).
If the length of the section under repair exceeds 2.7 m then it will be necessary to join together sections of Duct 56 split. This is best achieved by extending the excavation to expose a further section of sound Duct 56, carefully cutting a piece 300 mm long from it, and sliding the piece along the cables to the position where the internal connecting collar is required.
