Solvent-free intumescent putty for creating a fire barrier of up to 240 minutes. Designed as a joint filler and sealer for use in penetration seals. Will remain flexible and allow for the thermal and mechanical movement of services around complex and irregular shapes through walls or floors.

Features and benefits:

Causes no known effects to plastic pipes, plastic cables, sheathing or metallic components.

Non-setting compound.

Highly flexible and water resistant.

Fire resistance has been tested in flexible walls, rigid walls and floors.

Halogen free, and resistant to fungi and vermin.

Maintains a fire and smoke barrier around sockets in flexible wall systems.

High tack adhesion, pliable and mouldable. Good self-bonding properties.

Preformed shape will fit most common socket boxes.

Contributes to green building.

Applications:

Rigid and flexible walls, and rigid floors of 100–150 mm thickness.

Large service openings up to 250 x 150 mm.

Tested to EN 1366-3 on C1, C2 and D1 type cables, cable trays and metallic pipes.

Also tested with cable bunches and cable ladders.

Conforms to / approved by:

EN 13501-2. EN 13141-1.

A compact seal should be achieved by applying pressure, with the full depth intended.

Fire resistance (EN 1366-3, BS 476, parts 20 and 22): EI 120, 240 minutes.

Technical characteristics:

Density (to ISO 2811-1:2011): 1.55 g/cm³. pH value: 8.2.

Solids content: 82%.

Shore A Hardness: 50.

Application temperature: 5–45°C.

Water resistance: Good (when fully cured).

UV resistance: Good.
